Food and Beverage Director:

After completing an extensive renovation of the first floor dining spaces, the Club is now seeking a full-time Food and Beverage Director to join the executive team at Columbus’s only modern city club. The successful candidate is expected to bring creativity and leadership to the team by overseeing all aspects of the Food and Beverage service operation. This person will directly supervise the Dining Room Manager(s), Bowling Manager, Banquet Manager, and all FOH service staff.   

Key Responsibilities and Leadership Style Attributes:
- Develop and execute plans to continually improve member satisfaction and to maximize financial performance of the Food and Beverage operation (five a la carte outlets and full service banquet operation)
- Exhibit passion and aptitude for teaching and training; develop comprehensive training programs for all food service personnel
- Lead and motivate the Food and Beverage team to provide the highest standard of personalized and engaged service to members, with an unmatched attentiveness to detail
- Coordinate closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu planning
- Oversee special programming initiatives related to fine dining and wine/beverage events
- Be a dynamic recruiter of team members; enthusiastic about building a team and leading them to significant, positive membership interactions and outcomes
- Prepare annual financial budget and achieve goals through proper forecasting, cost controls, labor management and revenue-generating programs in both a la carte and banquet departments
- Closely monitor labor, evaluate schedules and actual labor hours, and adjust as necessary
- Own area of responsibility and understand the consistent need to be “member ready” in both appearance and service
- Conduct administrative duties related to purchasing, invoices, monthly inventories, and email/phone correspondence

For consideration, individuals should possess the following personal and professional characteristics:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in the Hospitality/Food Service industry at a highly respected private club, hotel or resort
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence change
- Experienced in implementing orientation and training for service employees
- A mentoring/developing approach to staff and team
- Has a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Conducts business and personal dealings with impeccable ethical and moral standards
- Strategic thinker with strong marketing and revenue-generating skills
- A strong degree of adaptability and flexibility
- Outstanding oral, written and listening communication skills  

Educational Requirements
Degree in Hospitality Management and/or college degree along with previous progressive experience in a high end, private club, hotel, resort, or restaurant
